How To Add A Listing

Step 1: Access the Add Listing Page

  • Locate the ‘Add Listing’ Button: On the main page, find the ‘+ Add Listing’ button, which is usually positioned at the top right corner of the screen.
  • Click the Button: Click on the ‘+ Add Listing’ button to start the process. This will direct you to the listing creation page.

Step 2: Enter Listing Details

  • Title and Description: In the ‘Add Place’ section, enter the title of the place in the ‘Place Title’ field. This should be a concise and descriptive name.
  • Detailed Description: In the ‘Place Description’ box, provide a detailed description of the place. Include important information that would help potential visitors understand what the place offers.
  • Tags: Add relevant tags in the ‘Tags’ field. Tags are keywords that help in categorizing and finding your listing more easily.
  • Category: Select the appropriate category for your listing from the ‘Category’ dropdown menu. Choose at least one category that best fits the nature of the place.
  • Default Category: Select a default category which will affect the listing URL and map marker.
  • Address: Enter the complete street address of the place in the ‘Address’ field. This ensures your listing appears in location-specific searches.

Step 3: Provide Location and Media Information

  • Geographic Coordinates: Enter the latitude and longitude of the place for accurate mapping. This ensures your place is correctly positioned on the map.
  • Map View: Choose the preferred map view (such as Hybrid Map) that best displays the location of your place.
  • Upload Images: In the ‘Images’ section, upload photos of the place. Click on ‘Select Files’ to choose images from your device or drag and drop files into the designated area. This creates a visual gallery on the listing page.
  • Contact Information: Provide a phone number and an email address in the respective fields. This contact information will be available for potential customers to reach out.

Step 4: Social Media and Special Offers

  • Social Media Links: Enter the URLs of your social media profiles (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) in the corresponding fields. This helps in promoting your place through social media channels.
  • Video Links: If available, add a link to a promotional video in the ‘Video’ field. This could be a YouTube link or any other video hosting service.
  • Special Offers: If you have any special offers, list them in the ‘Special Offers’ section. For example:
    • Morning Brew Special: Get 20% off any coffee purchase before 10 AM.
    • Loyalty Rewards: Buy 9 cups of coffee and get the 10th one free with our loyalty card.
    • Happy Hour: Enjoy half-price pastries and snacks from 2 PM to 4 PM daily.
    • Student Discount: Show your student ID and receive a 15% discount on all items.
  • Business Hours: Indicate the business hours by selecting ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ in the business hours option. Clearly state the opening and closing times to inform potential visitors.

Step 5: Submit the Listing

  • Preview Listing: Before finalizing, click on the ‘Preview Listing’ button to review all the details you have entered. This allows you to make any necessary adjustments.
  • Submit Listing: Once you are satisfied with the information provided, click on the ‘Submit Listing’ button to publish your listing. This makes your place visible to users searching for relevant categories and locations.
