Zur Letzten Instanz

We like to eat at the oldest restaurants in a city if possible and affordable .

Zur letzten Instanz, located in Berlin, Germany, is the city’s oldest restaurant dating back to 1621.  The building itself is from the 13th Century.   It has a small menu of select dishes. On the Days it is open for lunch, they close between lunch and dinner as do many places in the city so watch out for that.

We actually went twice and had a pork two way dish and a fantastic side dish of potatoes and bacon.

They have a chair that Napoleon supposedly sat in.
